Rumuwwoji Mile One Traders Association  Exco Intact – Chairman

The chairman of Rumuwoji Mile One Market Traders Association (MOMTA), Mr. Ndubueze Eze Enyiche has stated that he is in-charge of the market both the first and second phase and that nobody or group of persons would be allowed to divide his empire or cause unnecessary crisis.

He made this known in a chat with newsmen in his office in Port Harcourt over the weekend.

The chairman who reiterated his promise to carry everybody along in his administration during his inauguration three weeks ago by the Mayor of Port Harcourt, Hon. Victor Ihunwo shortly after their election warned that he will not condole any form of rascality by anybody or group in the market.

You would recalled that Chief Y.O.C. Georgewill, a trader in the market and a member of the elders forum who participated in the recent election that ushered in the current executives was said to have suddenly woken up and inaugurated a parallel government  called “phase II Market Owners Association”, in a hidden venue.

Also speaking to newsmen, a major stakeholder in the Mile One Market, High Chief Stainless Emenike (Akunesiobike of Dikenafai) Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State said, Chief Georgewill has no right to cause further confusion in the market.

“He was involved in the recent election that brought in the new exco, infact he sponsored a candidate who failed but congratulated the winners due to the transparency of the election conducted at the council”.

Chief Stainless said the problem with Georgewill is that he is not comfortable being a follower, that he always wants to lead others, perhaps for ulterior motif.

The Elder statesman made it known that Georgewill is only looking for a way to defraud gullible traders once more which he said will be resisted.

He used the opportunity to call the attention of the security agencies and the Mayor of Port Harcourt to beware of the negative tendencies of Chief Georgewill to destablise the young Exco.

Chief Stainless further stated that Chief Georgewill was a member of the Elders Forum of the market and that his place is still assured when the current one is inaugurated, adding that if there is any suggestion he has to make to the exco, he will be given an opportunity to do so and not to arm-twist the executives or stampede them into submission.
