Two police officers were killed in an attack in Imo state on Monday. The incident occurred at Ahiara junction in Ahiazu-Mbaise LGA and was confirmed by Henry Okoye, the spokesperson of the Imo police command.
Okoye stated that the Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, has instructed officers to thoroughly investigate the matter and search the scene of the crime for evidence. The police command expressed their condolences for the loss of the officers and promised to apprehend the culprits responsible for the attack.
This incident follows the recent killings of the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ezinihitte-Mbaise and the traditional ruler of Otulu autonomous community.
