The support group of Bro Felix Amaechi Obuah, the immediate past chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State has applauded the performance of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike at the party’s presidential primary election over the weekend at Abuja, the federal capital.
Speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt, the Director of publicity of the group, Chief (Dr) Goodluck Nwobike said the South-South zone as a whole has never had it so good, adding that the performance of the governor was indeed a good outing. “Wike has indeed made us proud and needs to be encouraged”.
He posited that if the party’s constitution on North/South rotational principle is anything to go bye, then there is still hope for the governor who he noted, got the second highest votes at the election.
“Gov Wike has all it takes to rescue Nigeria from the pit she found herself. No matter the treachery and conspiracy of the Northern politicians, the southern zone of the country will be victorious at last,” he stated.
“We are happy with the second position out of the lots that contested with you despite the last minute gang-up.
You have made a point, you have changed the direction of democracy to what it used to be. God is your strength,” he declared.
Dr. Nwobike assured Nigerians and indeed Rivers State that it is not yet over as Governor Wike will bounce back and complete his divine mission to restore peace and tranquility in the system in whatever position that beckons on him.
Nwobike also used the opportunity to commend the TFO support group for their peaceful disposition over the failure of their principal, adding that God will surely make a way for them to participate in the state/nation building to sustain the administration’s achievements these past years.
He therefore congratulated the governor over the feat recorded, saying that posterity will surely remember him.
The publicity director equally used the opportunity to congratulate the PDP guber flag bearer, Hon. Simi Fubara for his victory at the primary election and assured him that his group will also mobilize support for his eventual electoral victory at the polls next year, adding that Rivers State welfare should be paramount for everybody.
He also made it clear that the overall victory of the PDP candidates should be the major assignment and responsibility of everybody in order to rescue the country from the APC-led evil administration and save the people from hunger, insecurity and hardship.
