Bipi Wins Re-Election To Rivers State House Of Assembly

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Evans Bapakaye Bipi, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the winner of Ogu/Bolo State Constituency election in Rivers state.

Mr Bipi emerged winner with 16,850 votes, while Alabo Sampson, the candidate of the People’s Party of Nigeria (PPN) came second with 897 votes.

The returning officer, Mr. Walter Cornelius, made the declaration in the early hours of Sunday, March 10, 2019.

He said: ”That Evans Bapakaye Bipi of PDP, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected”.
