I Will Not Quit Doing God’s Work – Bro. Obuah
…As COG (7th Day) Ends 2-Day National Leadership Summit in PH
Ikemba Idemili and former Rivers Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bro. Felix Obuah has reiterated his commitment to continue doing any work of God assigned to him.
Bro. Obuah who stated this at the end of a 2-day National Leadership Summit of the Church of God (7th Day) at its Eagle Island, Port Harcourt branch on Sunday, said nothing is more pleasurable and fulfilling than doing that which God commits to him.
Stressing that it is better to be with the Lord than with men, Bro. Obuah said God is a divine enabler who rewards the obedient in diverse ways.
“What I am doing is a duty I owe my God. That is why, I told myself that no matter what happened, I will not stop or leave the programme which we had fixed for these two days. I do not own my life.
“It’s only God that owns my life, and even if I left or stopped the programme, what has happened cannot be reversed.
“And that’s why I had to remain and see the end of the programme, to the glory of God Almighty”, he said.
According to the former Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), doing the works of God is dwelling in his presence and not otherwise.
He said: “The devil only comes to steal, kill and destroy, but the Son of Man has come to give life and to give it in abundance”, adding that “Nothing shall separate me from the love of God, hence I will not stop doing the works of God for any reason under the sun”.
