A group of celebrities and professionals in the creative industry in Rivers State and the Diaspora has disclosed its plan to organize a massive concert in support of the state governorship flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sir Siminialayi Fubara.
Addressing a press conference in Port Harcourt on Friday, the Director General of Rivers All Stars For Sim, High Chief (Dr) Muma Gee said the event which is tagged ‘SimFubration Concert’ will hold in Port Harcourt in the coming weeks.
She however revealed that prior to this concert, the Rivers All Stars For Sim would package a Million Stars Match For Sim (MSM4SIM) which would otherwise be referred as Sim Revolution Match (SRM).
In her words: “For us, this concert is a major and integral part of the activities of Rivers All Stars For Sim, as the program will colour the streets of Port Harcourt, from Rumuokoro through Ikwerre Road to Isaac Boro Park where we end up in jamboree and merriment”.
The group’s DG, a celebrated musician, told journalists that the press conference was also aimed at getting the media to disseminate information to every nook and cranny of the society in a bid to re- orientate and re- conscientize the minds of our teaming youths on the need to shun all forms of electoral violence in Rivers State and Nigeria at large, come 2023.
She urged youths in the state to desist from all forms of social vices, drug abuse and substance consumption which, according to her, may lead to deterioration of their mental health.
Youths, she maintained, should rather channel their energies to build a better and fruitful future in consolidation for the incoming youth-inclusive government of Siminialaye Fubara.
Adding that an idol mind as the devil’s workshop, she said her group has resorted to harnessing talents across the state during the orientation and re-orientation process in a bid to encourage the youths through creativity to improve their lives.
Muma Gee also used the occasion to acknowledge the tremendous support from the Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie.
