Tinubu Is Healthier Than Me – Shettima

Amid the controversy arising from the alleged senility and debilitating health status of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Presidential Candidate of the APC which had prompted many Nigerians to ask that he withdraw his presidential ambition, Kashim Shettima, the Vice Presidential Flag bearer says Nigerians had not seen anything yet as his own health status is worse than that of his principal.

In a post which trended  online last week, Kashim Shettima was quoted as saying that Tinubu was healthier than him, claiming that he had diabetes and hypertension.

Hear Shettima: “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is even healthier than me as I have diabetes and hypertension which he has none. Even the early Parkinson’s disease people talked about is just lack of sleep.”

Wondering why Nigerian populace were fixated on Tinubu’s health status, the APC Vice Presidential Candidate said what the people should be asking was whether the former Lagos State Governor had the requisite experience to govern Nigeria.

Mischievous commentators had ridiculed Shettima’s statement by asking sarcastically if Tinubu and his Vice Shettima thought that Aso Rock is a clinic where the duo would sit down every day to nurse their health.

“May be ,they think that Aso Rock is a clinic where they will sit everyday to attend to issues of their health,” one of the commentators averred.

However, discerning Nigerians had analyzed the statement as a kind of cover up to the rumour making the rounds that if Tinubu won and packed into Aso Rock, Shettima would be the de facto president, while Tinubu would be a sitting duck.

Tinubu’s age and health status have been recurring subjects for discussion among Nigerians who feel that the APC Presidential Candidate for next month’s Presidential Election is too old and sick to govern Nigeria in this digital era.

It could be recalled that in the wake of the Presidential Primaries, Tinubu had visited London Hospitals several times for medical check-ups, which prompted Nigerians to alleged that he was sick.
