No Technology Can Extinguish Hell Fire – Anglican Priest

…As Ebubu-Eleme Monarch, HRH Osaro Nei Okazu Goes Home

An Anglican priest, Ven (Dr.) Emmanuel Odunze has again warned Nigerians and the rest of humanity to desist from wrong doings and avert destruction in hell’s fire.

Odunze, who gave the warning while speaking at the funeral service of late paramount ruler of Agbeta-Ebubu Community, HRH, Emere (Hon) Columbus Osaro Nei Okazu JP, on Monday, said the consequences of evil deeds is eternal death in hell’s fire, adding that no technology yet invented can quench the inferno.

The priest who is the Vicar of St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church, Ebubu in Eleme Local Government Area, charged humanity to take God’s words seriously and keep his commandments.

In the message which he titled, “Prepare to meet your God”, the Vicar said God had already fixed appointed dates to meet with everyone seated in the congregation, and cautioned them to prepare ahead of that day.

“Some allude to the fact that God is merciful and too loving to allow his children burn in hell. That God cannot be wicked to put us in hell.

“Some have put their trust in advanced technology that may be deployed to put out the fire. But such allusion is wrong because man has a free will to do either good or evil, hence those who choose to do evil will bear the consequence”, he stated.

The Vicar urged humanity to emulate the lifestyle of the late monarch, adding that the great tributes and adulations about him is a pointer that he was indeed a good man.

Some dignitaries who attended the funeral service include the member representing Eleme Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Igwe Aforji, captains of industry and traditional rulers.

Speaking to journalists after the interment, chief mourner of the deceased, Barrister G. I. Godfrey said he would greatly miss his late dad.

“I wouldn’t say my father died early but I would have loved him to stay longer.  If people like Tinubu wants to be President, and Obasanjo and Gowon are still alive, then my father should still be alive.  But I surrender to the will of God who gives and takes.  To him be all the glory.

“He was a man of great strength and vitality and he works with tenacity.  You can imagine where he would have been if he was fit for the past 20 years he was down health challenge.  In fact, my father left when the ovation was loudest”, he said.

Godfrey who is the CEO of Powers and Partners, Ajuri Chambers at 316 Aba Road, Port Harcourt, said he had fond memories of his father and said he was weak to a fault and would give to last he has just to make people happy.

“My father was my friend and confidant.  I named my first child after him, ‘Columbus’ to show the bond we had.  My father gave me all and that’s why I am giving him my all in this event”, he said.
