Nwakaudu Receives Award of Excellence

The Non-Indigenous Journalists Association (NIJA), a body of non-indigenous media practitioners working at the Brick House, Port Harcourt, has honoured one their own, and the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Mr Simeon Nwakaudu with an Award of Excellence.

Presenting the award at the Government House Tuesday, December 4, 2018, the group’s coordinator, Mr Joe Kalu said the award is in recognition of Nwakaudu’s diligent services and outstanding performance in the management of the governor’s activities.

Kalu, who is corresponding for National Network Newspapers at the Government House, made it known that his association is very proud of the SA whom they described as a workerholic, reaffirming their commitment to working with him.

Speaking to the body shortly after receiving the award, the governor’s aide on Electronic Media, Mr. Nwakaudu said he was overwhelmed by the gesture.

He assured them that the gesture will motivate him to double his efforts in the course of his duties.

The SA further assured that all the segments of the Government House press corps will continue to benefit from his leadership skill.

Nwakaudu further used the opportunity to advise the press corps members to continue to assist the Nyesom Wike administration through developmental journalism, adding that no amount of intimidation or gang up from the opposition will make the people to vote for any other party than the People’s Democratic Party which has shown them love.

The executive of the body which went to present the award included Mr. Joe Kalu, Mr Friday Enyio, Kelechi Nwaucha, Mr Chidi Ohalete, Miss Chinwendu Wali, Miss Faustina Nwanekwu and Mrs. Judith Godswill.
