Pearlrose Nwuke Bags MBA At American University

Pearlrose, daughter of media personalities, Ogbonna and Boma Nwuke was conferred with a Masters of Business Administration MBA having successfully completed her education at the John Chambers College of Business and Economics, West Virginia University, United States of America.

The ceremony took place on Saturday, May 13 at the school’s coliseum which was filled to capacity.

Pearlrose had her first degree in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management Systems at the Benjamin Statler College of Petroleum and Mineral Resources at the same WVU.

Speaking afterwards to a congregation of friends and family, Pearlrose described her graduation as eventful

She said ”I’m thankful for the support of my wonderful family especially my parents, my siblings, my Professors, colleagues and friends who have become my family here”

”I’m thankful to God for seeing me through the successful completion of this phase of my education. To him be the glory“.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, President of the University, Dr. E. Gordon Gee told the new graduates that life cannot not always be fair but can be great and urged the graduates to take advantage of their graduation to better their lives.

Gee acknowledged the challenges of life, failures undermining several attempts towards greatness and charged the graduates to brace for challenges with a mind set of surmounting those challenges adding that, that is the way to succeed.

On his part, the Dean of the college, Dr Joshua Hall commended the graduates for their patience, dedication to studies even during the trying COVID pandemic period saying that the institution needs them to be champions of today and tomorrow. Imbibing flexibility and tenacity while demonstrating courage and brotherhood.

Highlights of the programme were the presentation of graduates, and conferment of Honoris Causa on two distinguished business giants.

A Life time achievement award was conferred on Richard M. Adams, the Chairman of the United Bank for his support for the University.

In his response, Adams said being in WVU on the occasion was special to him. He commended the WVU for laying down core values and thanked President of WVU for his giant strides in the institution.

Adams attributed the success of the United Bank to Goal setting core values adherence, integrity ,team work which has placed the bank in. No 38 position in the country.

He, commended the grauduates for the great future they are about to undertake.

The other honoree , Diana Lewis Jackson was conferred with the honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Administration for her commitment to strengthening the lives of people in West virginia She is said to have. provided leadership for community organizations and.a role model to
