At least three persons travelling to attend Monday handover ceremony in Abakaliki Ebonyi State capital have been killed. They died in a ghastly motor accident in which several others sustained various degrees of injury.
Details of the fatal accident was still hazy as at the time of this report but our source revealed that the vehicle was traveling from Izzi Local Government Area to Abakaliki.
Izzi is the home of the new governor, Rt. Hon Francis Nwifuru.
Those injured in the accident have reportedly been moved to the University Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki.
The swearing in ceremony which is happening across the country today is holding at the Pa Ngele Oruta Township stadium, Abakaliki.
