Funeral Arrangements For Late Amaopusenibo LongJohn Released
Funeral arrangement for the former Commissioner of Local Government Affairs and leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Bonny, late Wariopusenibo Rodaford LongJohn has been made public. The notice was signed by the Chairman of the burial central planning committee, Wariopusenibo Omoni LongJohn.
According to the notice, that beginning from Tuesday, August 29, several activities will hold that will climax to the interment on Saturday September 2, with the Funeral service at St Stephen’s Cathedral, in Bonny Local Government Area.
The programme is as follows Tuesday 29th August: 2pm, from Bonny Coal Beach to Ibanise Town Hall for Tributes on Life and Times.
Wednesday 30th August: 3pm to 5pm, Service of Songs at Ecumenical Centre, Port Harcourt. Thursday 31st August; 11am to 3pm – Cultural Displays at Industrial Unit Field, Bonny. 6pm: Candle Light Procession from PDP Secretariat to his residence at Ukpo Avenue, Bonny.
Friday 1st September; 9am – Body leaves Ashes to Ashes Mortuary enroute Bonny to be received by the Executive Chairman of Bonny LGA, PDP Stakeholders, and Elders of LongJohn Chieftaincy House 11am: Brief stopover at PDP Secretariat 11:30am:
Valedictory session at Bonny Local Government Secretariat 2pm: Body Arrives his residence at Ukpo Avenue enroute his country home at Abalamabie for lying in state. 4pm: Novelty Football March at Government Lodge Wing “B” by White House Football Club.
Saturday 2nd September 8am: Valedictory session at LongJohn Major Chieftaincy House Opuwari, Abalamabie 10am; Funeral service at St Stephen’s Cathedral, Bonny. Interment follows thereafter at Abalamabie.
Refreshment holds at Industrial Unit Field, Bonny. Sunday 3rd September 10am; Thanksgiving service at St Clement’s Anglican Church, Bonny.
