ONELGA Chairman Embarks On More People-oriented Projects

Chairman, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Hon. Vincent Job, says his administration will continue to provide people-centred projects and programmes across all the zones that make up the Local Government.

Vincent Job disclosed this while performing the ground-breaking of Okwuzi Primary School fence.

He said the essence of the project is to provide safety for pupils, teaching and non-teaching staff of the school, pointing out that safety of pupils and teachers in various institutions is necessary for effective teaching and learning.

The Chairman enjoined the people to own the project and put same to effective use.

Similarly, the Chairman, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Lcoal Government Area, Hon. Vincent Job also inspected the on-going ICT Centres at Idu-Osobile and Idu-Obosiukwu communities in Usomini Zone, where he charged the Supervisor of the projects to speed-up the job to enable potential beneficiaries use the centre effectively to justify the purpose for which the investment was made.

According to him, when in place, the centre will serve as rallying point for youths of the area in ICT-related issues as well as reduce idleness and create jobs.

In a related development, the Chairman, Vincent Job flagged-off a Corps Lodge at Obiozimini in Egi Zone and emphasized the need for the job to be delivered at record time to enable Corps members make adequate use of the facility.

He said that the days when Corps members suffer for accommodation are over; hence his administration is committed to building more Corps Lodges across the Zones of the Local Government.

Recall that a befitting Corps Lodge was commissioned at Community Secondary School, Aggah-Egbema to provide accommodation for Corps members serving in the area.

Community leaders took turn to eulogize the pragmatic qualities of Hon. Vincent Job and reaffirmed their unwavering support for his second term ambition.
