The Iwhuruoha Journalists Forum (IJF) has condemned in its totality, the barbaric attack on security officers along Omagwa/Isiokpo/Elele Owerri Road in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The leadership of IJF described the incident as an unfortunate and heinous crime. They warned that Iwhuruoha land should not be a place for any group to use to perpetrate crime, stressing that the peaceful nature of the people should not be misunderstood as cowardice.
IJF called for a thorough investigation and the perpetrators brought to book. They advised residents of the Local Government to go about their lawful businesses while the security agencies hunt for the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
The lJF further charged the security agencies not to be deterred in their duties of protecting life and property of citizens.
