Nyerisi Eli Woji Praises Wike Over Successful Conference
The Paramount ruler of Evoke Kingdom in Obio Akpor Local Government Area, HM, King Leslie N. Eke has lauded the Governor of Rivers State Governor Chief (Barr) Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON, over the successful hosting of the State Conference.
King Eke, JP, Nyerisi Eli Woji (Eze Woji), Eze Mbam Oro Evo, Eze Oha Evo III and Eze Gbakagbaka, who spoke with newsmen during the Conference organized by the State Government christened: “Deepening The Democratic Culture And Institutions For Sustainable Development And Security In Nigeria”, in Port Harcourt over the week, pointed out that the programme was in line with the current situation of the country.
The Eze Gbakagbaka, noted that the Conference was timely given the time and season that the country is faced.
The Eze Woji explained that the Conference has given the people an overview of the principle of democracy and democratization.
The monarch further hailed Governor Wike over the well thought event and urged the people to follow suit.
“The Rivers State Governor, Chief Barr Ezenwo Nyesom Ezenwo Wike CON, is so gifted that he does things in line with the happenings of the time. I can liken him to the Children of Issachar in the Bible who excelled more than others because of their knowledge of the times and season”, he said.
He maintained that democratic government must be practiced the way it ought and not otherwise.
The Woji born King, recalled that Obasanjo who has served both as military and civilian President of the country has a finer approach to the country’s problems.
The Evo overall King, also said that there was nothing political about it and urged the people to be prepared to learn from those who have been trusted and proven in governance.
Eze Eke further lauded all who contributed to the success of the event and prayed God to always give them the needed wisdom to enable them execute similar project for the state and people in the future.
The king had earlier called on Rivers people to ensure that they vote their conscience during the elections
