Your Support For Our Brother, Gov Fubara Was Awesome, Opobo Youths Laud Obuah
...Confer Him With National Patron Award
More than three months after the emergence of Sir Siminialayi Fubara as governor of Rivers State, echoes of support received from Bro Felix Obuah has continued to resonate from a cross section of Rivers people.
This came to the fore on Monday as youths of Opobo in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area paid a courtesy visit to the former State PDP Chairman at his residence in Port Harcourt.
Under the aegis of Opobo Youths Federation (OYF), the group told Bro Obuah who was the Director General of the PDP Campaign Council, that his imesurable support to their brother, Sir Siminialayi Fubara during the elections, contributed greatly to his emergence as Governor of Rivers State.
Led by the President, Evang Chris Nnanna Jaja, the youths said they were amazed at the level of support given to the governor even before, during and after the elections.
“Truth be told, we least expected that quntum of support from someone who also picked form to contest the governorship.
“Others who picked the governorship forms ran away, but Bro. Obuah stood firm not only as the DG of Campaign, but as a leader with a large heart. You did not betrayed the Opobo chance”, Jaja told Bro. Obuah.
The OYF President went on: “We cannot thank you enough, but believes that God will reward you bountifully. We will reciprocate when ever you call us for support.
“Age will not stop your dreams. And, to also exercise more of our gratitude to you as our father, brother and mentor today, we the National body of the Opobo Youth Federation have agreed to honour you as our National Patron, to the glory of God”.
In his response, Bro. Obuah expressed delight for the visit and thanked them for finding him worthy of the Patron Award.
“But before you thank me, or thinks that I have done too much for Gov Siminialayi Fubara, note that he was the first to do for me. You know the governor is not the talking type, but he is a silent achiever who has put smiles on so many faces..
“You cannot compare what you said I did for him to what he has done for me. He is a young man I love and respect for his humility. His simplicity and humility earned him the position he is today.
“I calls Governor Fubara a divine project, because he was chosen by God. We all owe him prayers and support to succeed. I believe that power comes from God and there’s no leader that be, except ordained by God according to, Roman 13:1”.
Bro. Obuah said he would not fail to openly thank former Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike whom he said was used by God ‘to defeat the battle in the state’, and urged all to keep praying for him, adding, “He is a man we should all be proud of”.
