Mr. Wale Edun, Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, has been designated as the Chairman of the African Governors’ Forum of the World Bank.
This information was made public through a statement released by the Federal Ministry of Finance, available on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.
The ministry further highlighted that this appointment signifies the first time Nigeria has held the position in 60 years. Additionally, it emphasized that this opportunity presents a significant moment for Nigeria and the advancement of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
