A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain in Asari Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chief Diepiriye Douglas has commended the people of Ward 4 and all other wards in Asalga for turning out en-masse for the various unit meeting held on Saturday January, 2019.
He expressed joy and satisfaction over the peaceful conduct of the units meeting in all the wards, saying the massive turnout is a clear indication that PDP is well mobilized and on ground in Rivers State to win the forthcoming elections. And also a sign of readiness by party faithful that make up the majority of the voting strength in all the units.
The party chieftain said PDP is a party in the vein of all patriotic and responsible Rivers people, stressing that, the party will continue to offer the people of the state and the Nation a purposeful and development sensitive government, the kind they have continued to offer at the state level and would be extended to the National level as they take over governance at the federal come February this year.
Chief Douglas commended Governor Nyesom Wike, the party chairman, Bro. Felix Obuah and all other party stakeholders for initiating such a powerful strategies to defeat their opponents and also to win more members into their fold. Noting that Governor Wike has exceeded expectations through the massive infrastructural development of the State.
However, he urged the people of the state not to fall into the antics of APC, saying APC federal led government has nothing to offer the people, as it is characterized with despotic leadership pattern.
