Simplified Former Council Chairmen Hail Gov Fubara On Successful LG Polls

The Forum of Simplified Pioneer PDP Council Chairmen in Rivers State (1999-2002), has commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara on the successful conduct of the Local Government elections in the State.

A statement by the leader of the forum, Hon. Boniface Emerengwa, said the peaceful, free, fair, credible, and transparent nature of the elections is a testament to Governor Fubara’s leadership and commitment to democratic governance.

“Your dedication to ensuring the people’s voices were heard at the grassroots level, despite the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not participating in the election, is truly commendable. This selfless act demonstrates your resolve to put the interests of Rivers State above party affiliations. Your leadership has shown that democracy can thrive even in challenging circumstances,” the forum reiterated.

The ALGON forum also commended the electorates for turning out massively to participate in the elections. “The unwavering commitment of Rivers people to enthrone democracy at the grassroots signals a new dawn in the nation’s democratic experience,” the forum said.

The former Local Government Councils Chairmen expressed confidence that under Governor Fubara’s guidance, Rivers State will continue to prosper and grow. “Your legacy as a champion of democracy and good governance will be remembered for generations to come,” the forum said.

They noted that the successful Local Government elections demonstrated Governor Fubara’s commitment to hearing the people’s voice. “By ensuring the elections were peaceful, free, fair, credible, and transparent, he  has shown his dedication to the democratic process,” they said.

The statement said as the executive Governor of Rivers State, Governor Fubara’s leadership style has been characterised by his commitment to the people of Rivers State, adding that his vision for a prosperous Rivers State is evident in his actions.
