Rev. Fr. Onyedikachim Onuoha, a vibrant young priest known for his fearless and unadulterated preaching not minding whose ox is gored told all the honorees to consider themselves lucky for the honour against the backdrop that the voice of the people is the voice of God.
He urged them to remain steadfast in their faith in God and the Catholic Church, and always remember that as “Pillars of the Church”, their obligation is not limited to the Church alone but must reflect in their lifestyles wherever they find themselves including their families, community, and among friends etc.
In his appreciation, Chris Konkwo thanked the Church and the Parish Council of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Nkwumeato for finding him worthy for the honour. According to him, it is more honourable to deserve honour and not have it than not to deserve it and have it, but if deserved and is so given, it is a thing of joy to the glory of God.
