Obuah Is A Factor, Says Accord Gov’ship Candidate

The Governoship candidate of Accord Party, Mr Precious Baridoo, has described the Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Bro. Felix Obuah, as a very big factor as far as politics in Rivers State is concerned.

He dropped the hint while reacting to the allegation that he is being used as a stooge by the People’s Democratic Party  to disrupt the activities of Accord Party.

He maintained that his robust relationship with Bro Obuah whom he served for two years as IPAC Secretary  before becoming the Chairman has no influence in his political activities.

Wondering why people are expecting him to turn to PDP’ chairman’s enemy for no just cause, he said he plays politics of conscience and consensus and does not go against people.

“That I want to be the Governor of Rivers State on the platform of Accord does not mean that Obuah is controlling me, No, he is my friend and boss but I am not a stooge to PDP”, he noted.

He insisted that he is  the right candidate of his party as declared by the competent court of law despite the fact that somebody else was given the party’ s flag and expressed hope that the Central working committee of his party will support him especially since he is the candidate that emerged through the primaries.

The guber hopeful commended the court for what he described as stoppage of imposition of candidates by political parties and urged Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to do the needful by ensuring that his name appears on the ballot paper.

Calling on the people of Rivers State to vote for him in the forthcoming Governorship elections, Mr Baridoo described himself as capable to govern Rivers State and promised diligent and effective leadership.
