Advertising Practitioners Congratulate IAUE Council Chairman

The Advertising Practitioners Association, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State Branch, paid a courtesy visit to the 13th Governing Council Chairman of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), RT. (Hon) Chinyere E. Igwe, at the Council Chambers on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the Association, Dr. Dike Bekwele, stated that they had come to congratulate the Chairman on his appointment, expressing pride in his personality and optimism that he would elevate the image of the University, being a member of the Advertising and Marketing Practitioners.
Dr. Bekwele expressed gratitude to the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja Minister, Chief (Barrister) Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, for the choice made, noting that it was a well deserved appointment.
He added that Dr. Igwe’s success in his various fields of endeavor would give IAUE the needed global visibility.
The leader of the team thanked the 13th Pro-Chancellor and Council Chairman for his support towards the body and prayed for God’s guidance as he pilots the affairs of the University.
He also requested for support towards their Annual General Meeting and Stakeholders’ Forum scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025.
Other members of the Association expressed confidence in Dr. Igwe’s ability to take IAUE to greater heights.
In response, Dr. (Hon) Chinyere Igwe thanked the Association for the congratulatory visit, acknowledging the role the Association played in his career.
He pointed out the fact that he has over 70 peer-review articles on advertising, reaffirming his commitment to the aspirations of the Association.
Chief Igwe also pledged his continued support to the Association and promised to participate in their programme scheduled for December 5, 2025.
In a vote of thanks, the Secretary of the Advertising Practitioners Association, Mr. Julius Amanze, expressed gratitude to the Council Chairman for the opportunity to visit, hoping that it would foster a new relationship and better partnership with the University. The Advertising Practitioners Association promotes responsible and ethical advertising best practices in the advertising industry and advocates for the rights of its members.
