ASALGA 13 For Wike Provides Succour To Fire Victims
Following the inferno that engulfed the six-room apartment at Ikpo’s Compound in Buguma City, Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, the founder of ASALGA 13 FOR WIKE Amb. Tamunonegiyeoforji George commiserated has with the victims.
Leading other members of the group to the scene of the incident, Amb. George who doubles as the “Vision Bearer” told the victims not to feel bad about it as all hope is not lost, saying the incident, though regrettable, did not mean an end of their life.
According to him, he understood their predicament as a result of the destruction that took place during the fire incident which has shattered their means of livelihood but promised not to leave them alone.
Amb. George and his executives made a donation of N500,000.00 for the rebuilding of the stores and gave N100,000.00 and N50,000.00 respectively to the victims.
In her response to the kind gesture, Ms. Dokuboba Dokubo lauded the magnanimity to support them at the point of their need and called on other indigenes of the area to emulate him.
She noted that although, the incident was devastating it was not enough to think that life has come to an end, saying that life is more important than anything that had been lost in the fire incident.
Speaking to National Network, the chairman of the group, Hon. Daibi Amachree and Hon. Sele Francis in their separate speeches commended Amb. George for his dogged efforts to ensure he always put smiles on the faces of people.
They described the vision bearer, Amb. George as one man that has the milk of human kindness flowing in him and who has been extending hands of charity to people.
