Wike Is Reliable – Traditional Ruler
For keeping his word to build three flyovers in Rivers State, a traditional ruler, His Royal Highness Eze Owabie Tobin, has said that governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike, is reliable.
His Royal Highness Eze Tobin said in an interview on Monday that Governor Wike is truthful because he keeps his promises, saying he is best governor in Rivers State since the country’s return to civilian rule.
According to him, Wike is greater than any other governor the state has produced saying that he is changing Rivers State for better.
Eze Tobin who is paramount ruler of Mgbundukwu Community in Mile I and II, Diobu, Port–Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State said nothing changes if a leader does not have mind to transform his people saying Governor Wike has the mind to transform Rivers State.
He said the fact that Governor Wike has flagged off construction of the three flyovers at Garrison, Artillery and Rumuokoro as he promised when he was sworn in for second term as governor of Rivers State on May 29, 2019 at Liberation Stadium shows he can be trusted and relied on.
He appealed to people of Rivers State to support Governor Wike as he works to transform the state and also appealed to youths to cooperate with him and not disturb those handling construction project of the three flyovers to be completed in sixteen months.
Governor Wike flagged off construction of three flyovers at Garrison, Artillery and Rumuokoro last week saying he has paid 70 per cent of the money for the contract and said he expects the contractor handling the projects, Julius Berger, to complete the projects in sixteen months.
The traditional ruler appealed to people of Rivers State whether Christians or Muslims to support and pray for the state chief executive in his mission to transform the state.
Meanwhile, Eze Tobin who is Eze Onumini I of Mgbundukwu Community, has thanked the Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly and his colleagues for supporting and working with Governor Wike in development of the state.
He said Wike’s achievements would not have been possible if not for support and co-operation by the Rivers State House of Assembly.
He commended the senator representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District in National Assembly, Senator Barry Mpigi, for also supporting the governor.
