27th Anniversary: Apostle Zilly Aggrey Honours Founding Members, Recounts Fond Memories

The General Overseer of the Royal House of Grace International Church, Apostle Zilly Aggrey has used the occasion of the just concluded 27- year anniversary of his ministry to appreciate those who supported the vision he received from God, recalling days of little beginning with nostalgia in the presence of revered men of God, members and well-wishers who converged in their numbers to grace the occasion.

The event kicked off with the media unit of the ministry providing the audience with a six-minute documentary which revealed the trajectories of the ministry which was given birth to in October 20, 1992, after the Apostle had received the vision from God way back in England in 1991 before returning home to start off in a room volunteered by a family.

Speaking after a fascinating video documentary of the church early days presented in a panoramic way, Apostle Aggrey at the beginning of what is now a ministry to be reckoned with, said he combined roles as an usher, keyboardist, intercessor and others, aside being a preacher of the word.

He informed the audience about how the church took off, recording 15 members (attendees) on the first service day, amidst anxiety of whether or not people would ever show up. He informed that he, his wife,(who came in as one of the members) and his biological senior sister were part of the 15-member congregation. According to him, the fist Bible study at commencement was titled ‘Doctrine of Royalty.’

The Apostle who tagged the day, a celebration of the glory of God later embarked on an emotion-laden appreciation of the founding members, recalling each individual’s contributions at the very beginning as he handed them thank you gifts.

And, during his ministration at 27 years anniversary and gala night, Bishop Emmah Isong described the vision carrier as a phase setter with uncommon wisdom. “You are very different from every man of God in Port Harcourt and in the Niger Delta.”

Bishop Isong, who is the Publicity Secretary of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria,PFN used the occasion to  encourage upcoming men of God as he titled his message ,”What to do when no One Believes in you,” saying that “the problem of the call is who will believe in me?”

He expressed concern that most of the time people believe in false prophets than those who were genuine men of God. “Don’t be discouraged because when God spoke to you others were not there. Quoting from Isaiah 53:1, he said that a mighty man of God is revealed in the lives of those who believed in the man of God, adding that there were times vision cannot be explained but it would speak at the end.

Bishop Isong also warned against tribalism which he said can never help any ministry to grow, even as he noted that favour from God has no tribe.

He urged the congregation from the Royal House of Grace International Church to endeavour to keep believing their man of God, while the Apostle should consider it critical to invest in people who believe in him, rather than in people he loved who never loved him in turn. He stated that the work is made easy when people believe in their man of God.

Responding Apostle Zilly Aggrey said that the event was to celebrate royalty as he blessed the congregation whom he led to shout Glory in unison for 27 times.

About 68 persons invited for the occasion through evangelism were recognized and handed a bottle of wine each by the Apostle. The man of God while addressing the people thanked them for their presence , saying they were the reason for the celebration.

During the vote of thanks, the head of Tribe of Judah choir belonging to the Royal House of Grace appreciated the guests and congregation for their turn up, assuring that at 28 years the ministry would have gone triple.

Highlights of the 27th anniversary and Gala Night include the cutting of the anniversary cake where Apostle Aggrey was flanked by dignitaries from churches, representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria,PFN, family and friends, including   individuals from different walks of life. Ministrations in songs were performed by the duo of M Praiz and Pastor. Mrs. Chinelo Dillimono.
