Norsemen Build, Donate Borehole To Oyigbo Community
The Rivers State chapter of De Norsemen Kclub International (DNKI) has in line with its motto of (Service to Humanity) built and donated a borehole to facility to Oyigbo local government area of Rivers State.
The borehole project was commissioed over the weekend in a well attended ceremony. The occasion was chaired by the Guv’nor DNKI Rivers State, Mr Saint Kingsley Duru in company of the state executive members.
High light of the occasion was the cutting of the commissioning ribbon by the Rivers State Chairman Advisory Committee of DNKI, Mr. David Karemie Achebbs. The bore hole project was built by in loving memory of the late Oyigbo branch coordinator, Mr Chijioke Okoro.
In a good will message, the Oyigbo LGA/community representative, Mr. Abraham Ndubuisi thanked the members of De Norsemen Kclub International, Rivers State Chapter for ameliorating their living stadard as water is one of the major challenge being faced by the people of Oyigbo. He urged other sister organizations to emulate De Norsemen Kclub International.
Also, a youth leader from the community, Mr. Chuks Samuel Ebeku applauded the organization for their selfless service to humanity citing that over #1,000,000 (one million) naira was disbursed for the surgery of various patient’s at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) during the Norsemen day celebration last year.
In a chat with our reporter, Engr. Amua Louis Ekezie, Publicity Secretary DNKI Rivers State, disclosed that De Norsemen Kclub International is a group of young Nigerian professional, with branches in all the 36 States of Nigeria and in over 20 countries globally. He noted that qualification for membership of De Norsemen Kclub International is a graduate degree from a recognized institution higher leaning and no criminal record.
