Commissioner Reiterates Commitment To Serve Rivers People
The Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Community Affairs in Rivers State, Barr. Eloka Tasie Amadi has stated that he would remain steadfast and committed to the implementation to all the administration’s policies and programmes to achieve set goal.
He stated this last week in his office when some of his political associates from Ikwerre Local Government Area and other areas paid him a solidarity visit in his office in Port Harcourt.
While thanking the group for making time to come for the visit, the commissioner disclosed that his appointment was a confirmation of the confidence reposed in him by all those who had worked with him in the past and whose support and prayers he has continued to enjoy. He promised to carry everyone along in his usual leadership style.
Bar Amadi used the opportunity to express his appreciation to Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for finding him worthy for the appointment into his cabinet to serve Rivers people, promising not to betray the confidence reposed in him.
The commissioner urged his guests and their followers to continue supporting the good leadership and governance of Gov Wike in his efforts to reposition the state.
He further called for the sustenance of peace in their domain and strict observance of safety protocols and personal hygiene so as to check the community spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic in Rivers State.
The leader of the delegation Chief, Sir Goodluck Nwobike, in his address informed the commissioner that they were in his office to pay a solidarity visit and to express their happiness for Barr. E. Tasie Amadi’s appointment into the state cabinet.
“Leader, we are here to congratulate you on your well-deserved appointment as a commissioner in the State and to show our solidarity to you. We are ever ready to work with you in anyway found necessary,” he said.
The group advised the commissioner to remain focused, committed and supportive to the state governor and pledged the willingness of the group to work with him to ensure the success of the policies and programmes of the state government.
They advised Barr. Amadi to maintain those characteristic loyalty and hard work which stood him out and as well showcase his wealth of experience in the discharge of his duties without fear or favour.
