Hon. Rufus Commends Vice For Showing Spirit Of Sportsmanship
The Ward 4 Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Joshua Nduka Rufus has commended the PDP members of his ward for their peaceful conduct during the just concluded PDP councillorship and chairmanship primaries conducted in the state.
He said he was impressed by the turn-out for the primaries, orderly conduct by delegates and the aspirants.
Hon. Rufus particularly commended the vice chairman of his ward for showing the spirit of sportsmanship, saying that Mr. Anaele Bright has shown he is a genuine and committed party member who places party interest above self.
According to him, Mr. Bright accepted the decision of the party in good faith and congratulated his opponent, Hon. Faith Amadi for her victory.
Hon. Rufus reiterated that his deputy’s understanding and support for the party shows the true display of spirit of sportsmanship which every committed politician and party man should do at all times.
According to him, the victory so far is only a stepping stone to the main election come April 17 and therefore called for all hands to be on deck for the final victory.
He also congratulated Mrs. Faith Amadi for winning the ward 4 councillorship ticket of the PDP and wished her a successful outing on April 17.
Hon. Rufus described Governor Nyesom Wike as a women friendly governor, observing that never in the history of Rivers State have women been given such key position as in the case of his administration.
He used the opportunity to call on the people of Etche to continue to conduct themselves in a manner devoid of rancor and acrimony.
He predicted landslide victory for all the PDP candidates going by the achievements of the Wike administration.
