Rivers State Police Command Parades Member Of Abia Vigilante For Allegedly Killing US-Based Businessman
The Rivers State Police Command has paraded one Okorie Chukwuma, a member of Abia State vigilante who allegedly killed his boss, one Eyinaya Ogbonna, a businessman based in United States of America who came to build a gas station in the state.
The Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni, while parading the suspect said the deceased employed the suspect through the Abia State Vigilante Service and was working for him.
SP Omoni said suddenly the suspect developed animosity for the US-based businessman and one of the days the deceased went to his filling station, the suspect and his colleague conspired and used their pump action to shoot the deceased.
The suspect, Okorie Chukwuma in an interview with journalists confessed to the crime.
He said he was arrested when he came to sell the Venza car belonging to his boss in Port Harcourt.
The white Venza car of the deceased with registration number: ABJ 276 BF, some other belongings of the deceased as well as the Pump action used in killing him were recovered by the Rivers and Abia State Police Commands respectively.
