…Reiterates Support For Gov Wike
In a bid to consolidate their support for Gov Wike and total victory for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State in 2019, the Association of Northern Progressives in Rivers State, PDP Chapter has enjoined all its members to be sure they participate in the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) verification exercise.
The Leader of the group in Rivers State, Alh. Ibrahim Maisundu Beli made the charge on Saturday, 10th November, 2018 during their routine meetings at Trans-Amadi Industrial Layout, Port Harcourt.
Top on the regular meeting agenda was the sensitization of members on the need to remain alive in their unalloyed support for Governor Nyesom Wike’s second term bid and to vote for the PDP come 2019.
The massive turn-out for the meeting and the strong resolve to stand by the PDP in next year’s general elections according to Alh. Maisundu were a proof that Northerners resident in Rivers State are staunch members and supporters of the PDP against the false belief in some quarters that Northerners are not in the PDP.
The Association of Northern Progressives leadership stated for the umpteenth time that the Wike administration has performed excellently well that it deserves a second chance to complete its good works in the State.
Alh. Maisundu has earlier reminded his teeming members and fellow Northerners that Rivers State has always been a strong and reliable political ally of the North with mutual respect, love and goodwill for each other.
He noted that Governor Wike has also demonstrated enough co-operation, love and ensured mutual co-existence between the Northerners resident in the State and Rivers people and must be given unwavered support in appreciation for all his love.
Consequently, the leader of the Association of Northerner Progressives, Rivers State, PDP Chapter, Alh. Maisundu has reportedly printed flyers, posters and other publicity materials for all their members to help sensitize the general public on the ‘Gov Wike 2019’ bid.
He insisted that victory for Governor Wike and the PDP in 2019 is a mission accomplished for greater value and satisfaction for Rivers people and residents alike.
According to him, “The association is deeply rooted in sensitization of their members in the 23 local government areas of Rivers State to keep their members well mobilized and intact in the PDP”.
