Clergyman Harps On God’s Goodness At Thanksgiving

…Charges Members To Abide By COVID-19 Protocols

As the February end of the month’s thanksgiving came to an end last Sunday, Christian faithful have been admonished to think on the goodness of God as the nature and embodiment of the creator and demonstrate same in dealings with fellow humans.

This was the focus of the sermon titled ‘His Goodness’ by the minister-in-charge, Rhema Chapel International Churches, Rumuda, Port Harcourt, Pastor Abiola Ajadi. Doing justice to the topic the man of God described the goodness of God as one of his attributes and typifies his essence. He state further that, “His attributes are inherently good. God is the foundation of goodness and of all things that is good. He does not obtain his goodness from any other source. He is goodness personified and goodness embodied.”

He reminded the congregation that whatever experience anyone may be going through does not negate or nullify the fact of the goodness of God. He stated that people should also understand that by action God is equally good. According to him, this explains his power to translate his goodness into action in the affairs of man.

He said that a typical way that explains his goodness is his compassion on all that he made.

On what the goodness of the Lord does, the clergyman noted that He (God) offers security and encouragement which are always dependable and never expires.

But, he noted that his goodness, above all was made known to humanity when he sacrificed his only begotten son, Jesus for the redemption of mankind.

He charged members to always return to God whenever they make mistakes because God’s goodness always draws man close.
