A business guru and fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Engr. Celestine Cliffe has revealed what it takes to succeed in business in a fast changing world.
He made the disclosure during the technical session of this month’s meeting of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Port-Harcourt branch.
He opined that for a business to thrive well, vision, business plan, work processes, sound accounting principles and strategic collaboration should be given priority.
Engr. Cliffe, who is the Managing Director of Kailex Oil and Gas Ltd maintained that having a clear picture of preferred business makes it easier to recognize barriers to realizing set goals while reducing organizational conflicts.
He further said that consistency in service delivery, greater value for stakeholders, collaboration with relevant stakeholders promotes excellence in business execution.
Cliffe who identified staff retention and regular training programmes for employees, as a way of getting a formidable work force and better business results stressed the need for timely and periodic auditing in order to achieve a sound financial system
He further informed that strategic collaborations with those in the same line of business will among other things help to maximize resources for the purpose of delivering sustainable benefits to all the parties involved and enhance efficient movement of products across the supply chain.
