Lawmaker Tasks Youths On Peace, Development

The Majority leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Martin Chike Amaewhule, has advised youths in his constituency to maintain the existing peace in Obio/ Akpor Constituency 1 to enhance a better society in the state.

He gave the advice during the commissioning and handover of his constituency projects in the state.

According to him, the only way to achieve development and better society was by enthroning peace and obeying the laws as churned out by the state Legislature.

The member representing Obio/ Apkor Constituency 1 in the Rivers State House of Assembly also enjoined his constituents to shun all forms of violence and rancour while ensuring that they make judicious use of the projects in their various communities.

On his part, the lawmaker representing Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon, Kingsley Ogundu Chinda who commissioned parts of the projects called on other public office holders to emulate Hon. Amaewhule as according to him it will enhance development and improve on the delivery of dividends of democracy in the state.

Meanwhile, some of the beneficiaries of the constituency projects who expressed gratitude over the projects described them as capable of improving the livelihood of the people in the area.

The commissioned constituency projects include, Rumuodunwere Civic centre, Rumurolu Modern Market, Eliogbolo Civic Centre and Oroigwe Civic Centre all in Obio/Akpor Constituency 1.
