Wike’s Performance Excites Rumurolu Chief

Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike’s leadership qualities has continue to excite Chief Clinton Omachi of Rumurolu Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Speaking with newsmen during the official flag-off of construction of Rumuogba first and second flyover bridges Tuesday October 22nd, 2019, he stated that Wike’s leadership style made it possible for him to embark on developmental strides in all the 23 Local Government Areas simultaneously.

According to him, “there is no Local Government Area that has not witnessed one project or the other of the Wike administration, adding that of all the infrastructural development the governor has embarked on, these two flyover bridges is the most important, as according to him, it is going to decongest the traffic jam experienced on this part of the PH/Aba expressway,” he noted.

The Rumurolu council of chiefs member assured that the people of the area will not only support the contractors to complete the projects in a record time but would ensure the maintenance of government facilities in their area.

The monarch used the opportunity to appealed to the governor to give priority attention to the Umuebule/Etche roads which he said is now in deplorable condition.

“Rivers people will also be grateful if our amiable governor would come to our rescue by intervening on the road reconstruction taking place at the Oyigbo area of the PH/Aba expressway which he said has taken longer time than necessary thereby plunging the road users to an untold hardship”.

On the proposed reintroduction of toll gates in the country, Chief Omachi said that would be callous on the part of the federal government.

“Why would any sane person think of re-introduction of toll gates on dilapidated federal roads that fell motor vehicles on daily basis and send people to their early graves, he asked. 

Chief Omachi also reminded the governor of the need for human capital development as well as empowerment of Rivers people to enable them put food on their tables.

He also appeal to governor Wike to remember the Woji Community in the establishment of secondary schools in the area as according to him, “there is no single secondary school presence here from Rumuogba to Woji town”, he declared.

Also speaking, the president of “Amaeli” Rumuogba Women meeting, Ugoeze Queen Ejekwu said, her women would always pray and support the Wike administration to achieve set goals.

She stated that Wike has indeed made Ikwerre people proud by what she described as her excellent performance in governance.

The queen of Rumuogba kingdom made it clear that the erection of the two flyover bridges would not only add to the exotic beauty of the area but would provide jobs opportunity for the teeming youths of the area as the project construction lasts.

Lolo Ejekwu used the opportunity to reaffirm their support and loyalty to the Wike administration at all times.
