The ancient kingdom of Isiokpo, capital of Ikwere Local Government Area of Rivers State was agog over the weekend over the recent appointment and swearing in of Barr Eloka Tasie Amadi as a member of the State Executive Council
The Ward One Ogbodo leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kelga was appointed the Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Community Affairs recently.
Speaking with newsmen, the Commissioner said he gives God all the glory, promising not to betray the confidence reposed in him.
“ I will ensure that I put in my best to add value to the Ministry and leave a worthy legacy“. He appealed for the continued support of his people to achieve set goal.
Also speaking on behalf of himself and PDP Supporters in the Local Government Area, Chief Sir Goodluck Nwobike, Phd congratulated the Commissioner for the appointment which he said is well-deserved.
“With his wealth of experience we are sure he will make a difference in his new assignment“.
Chief Nwobike who is the Sole candidate for the PDP Ward one chairmanship seat in the forthcoming Congress used the opportunity to thank the State Chief Executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for finding Barr Eloka Tasie Amadi worthy to serve in his government.
The PDP chieftain disclosed that they will mobilize support for the Commissioner to ensure that he succeeds in the onerous task ahead.
Recall that Barr Amadi was among the nine (9) Commissioners recently appointed by the Rivers State governor to further strengthen his administration.
