Chief Gift Worlu Coronated Okwurume I Of Eneka Town

It was indeed an epoch-making event, as well-wishers and friends of Chief Gift Iheakam Worlu on Saturday, November 24, thronged in their numbers to witness his coronation as the Okwurume 1 of Eneka Town.

The event, which took place at the Palace of HRH, Eze Prof. Rowland O. Woko (JP), Nye Nweli V., Paramount Ruler of Eneka had in attendance dignitaries from all walks of life.

HRH, Eze Woko, in his speech shortly after the coronation enjoined Chief G. I. Worlu to discharge his responsibility without fear or favour and to ensure that truth prevails in every case and also to carry everybody along in his administration.

The Royal Father called on aggrieved persons in the area to forget their differences and join hands with Chief G. Worlu to ensure peace and unity in Eneka.

Eze Woko stressed the need for Chief G. Worlu, amongst other newly coronated chiefs, to serve the community by the dictates of their conscience and always endeavour to do good for the betterment of the community.

The elder brother of the celebrant, Emmanuel Worlu, described his brother as a man worthy of emulation and advised the family members to support him do the work, while describing such elevation as the miraculous work of God.

Also speaking, the CDC Chairman of Eneka, Amb. Charles Woko, said  Chief Gift Worlu is a successful businessman, humble and hard working gentle man, whose generosity speaks for him.

According to him, Chief G. Worlu’s humility and commitment to the ideals of Eneka earned him this honour and called on all and sundry to give Chief Worlu the maximum support and cooperation to enable him discharge his duties diligently.

Responding, Chief G. Worlu said that he was highly elated for the honour done to him by his people and promised to contribute positively to the well being of the people and the community.

He also promised to ensure that there is peace and unity among the people, and expressed his gratitude to God for making the occasion a huge success.

He used the medium to admonish the youths of Eneka to remain positively focused and peaceful in their daily endeavours saying he is ready to render selfless service to God and humanity.
