Nwankwo Scores Wike High On Performance

The Councilor representing Etche Ward 15 in Etche Legislative Assembly, Hon. Collins Akanchawa Nwankwo has commended Governor Nyesom Wike for his people-oriented programmes in Etche Local Government.

Nwankwo who also double the Chief Whip of Etche Legislative Assembly said the rural populace are happy with the governor and sings his praises as his administration is very close to the grassroots.

Speaking at the occasion of the mass defection of APC members into the PDP which held at State School, Afara in Etche on Sunday, August 30, 2020, Hon Nwankwo said it is most appropriate for him to thank the governor for repairing the Chokocho-Ulakwo Federal road that has been a nightmare and has led to series of protests calling on the attention of the federal government.

He said the road was so deteriorated that it often leads to incessant break down of vehicles and hardship to many road users, noting that the repair work done on the road now has impacted on the movement of agricultural produce from the farmlands to other parts of the State.

According to him, the governor has been a role model for most of them.  In his words: “I have been taking a cue from him in the areas of road, portable water, security, electricity and others that are necessary for the wellbeing of our people”.

Hon Nwankwo maintained that he has done well in his domain especially on security with the effort of his brother Hon. Kingdom Nwankwo, adding that it would be very difficult for the people in the community to go about their normal business without adequate security.

He said that he carried his people along, mostly in the area of community projects, “I always ask for their needs, it is their needs that I embarked upon and put in place for them”, he said.

On the issue of the defection of Chief Ambrose Igbokwe Nwuzi, Hon. Nwankwo said his defection has crashed APC in the area and that the home coming of Chief Nwuzi was due to the excellent performance of this administration led by Chief Nyesom Wike who has embarked on so many projects across the State devoid of ethnic and political sentiments.
