Federal Lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Dekor Calls For End To Cultism Among Students

The Federal lawmaker representing Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Robinson Dekor has admonished students to eschew cultism and other forms of criminality.
The Lawmaker made this known on Thursday, March 11 while distributing educational materials to some secondary schools in his constituency, Bua Yeghe Community Secondary School, Government Girls Secondary School, Bodo City, Community Secondary School, Bori, Kono Secondary School, Kono, and Beeri High School.
Some of the items donated include; Notebooks for pupils and teachers, Mathematics textbook/ Workbook, English language textbook/Workbook, English Grammar Homework/Practice textbook, Basic Science textbook, National Values textbook, Mobile package Science and Laboratory Equipment, Students furniture, Office table for teachers, Drawer steel cabinet, Mathematics teaching kit, Desktop Computer(All in one)-HP inclusive of installation/ internet security, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS)Blue Gate, and Internet Router with wide coverage (one year unlimited subscription).
Hon. Dekor said the Programme is in phases and would be replicated in other schools within the Federal Constituency. He explained that the aim of the programme is to support the student, reduce the burden on their parents and make learning easier for them.
He however lamented the high rate of cultism and criminality in the land and called on those involved in such nefarious activities to desist and repent or be prepared to face the full wrath of the law, as Government is prepared to flush them out.
He appealed to community leaders, principals and teachers of schools visited to secure and protect these items from criminal elements within their communities from stealing or vandalizing them.
The Federal lawmaker while addressing students of CSS Bori, pledged to provide solar-power water in the school premises to enhance conducive learning environment in the school.
The students, teachers and community leaders applauded the Federal lawmaker for his kind gesture, describing it as unprecedented. They prayed God bless and reward him for giving back to the society.
