The Rector, Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Rumuola, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Dr.(Barr.) Samuel B. Kalagbor, fnim, has bagged ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD from the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics(ASUP), Kenule Beeson Saro Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori Chapter, Rivers State.
Presenting the award to Dr. Kalagbor in his office in Port Harcourt, the ASUP Chairman, Kenpoly Chapter, Prince Sudor Nwiyor, said “this is the first time such an honour has been bestowed on any Rector by the Union”. He poured encomiums on the Rector for his stellar achievements especially in the areas of accreditation of Programmes, infrastructural development, human capacity development and the enlistment of the Polytechnic by Tetfund.
The CEAPOLY Rector, thanked the ASUP Kenpoly chapter for finding him worthy of the award.
Prince Sudor Nwiyor was accompanied by Dr. Moses Bakpo, Asup Chairman Ceapoly and Dr. Richard Ilona, Asup Chairman, Rivers State College of Health Sciences and Management Technology, Port Harcourt to present the award.
