Obio/Akpor Int. Market: Barr Ariolu Serves Quit Notice To Illegal Occupants Quit Notice To Illegal Occupants
The Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Hon. (Barr.) George Ariolu, has given those who have erected structures at unapproved points at the Obio/Akpor International market to dismantle them and vacate the market with immediate effect.
Hon. Ariolu during an unscheduled visit to the market on Wednesday, frowned at the state of the international market.
The Council Boss informed that those engaged in the erection of stalls at the market have two weeks to bring the structures down or face the wrath of the law.
Speaking at the site, Hon. Ariolu said: “Its so disheartening to see the extent of defacing and the erection of illegal structures on this big edifice. With what I’ve seen here, I don’t think we can continue like this. The Council is giving them from now till the next two weeks to go and remove those structures or we remove them and make them pay the costs of removal”.
