The Paramount Ruler of Rumuokwurusi who also doubles as the Chairman Rumuokwurusi Traditional Council, HRH, Eze Simeon Chidi Wokoma has commended Governor Nyesom Wike for his developmental strides.
Eze Wokoma who commended the governor while speaking with newsmen during the official flag-off of the Rumuokwurusi/Elimgbu flyover on Monday, February 28, 2022, said when completed the project will transform the infrastructural state of the community, ease frequent traffic congestions in the area and gladden the hearts of the road users.
He said the people of Rumuokwurusi are very happy with the governor because the project will attract investments into the community which in turn will create employment opportunities for their people.
According to him, the flyover project is in fulfillment of the pledge the governor made to the people of Rumuokwurusi earlier. “We are happy with the governor because he is a governor that fulfils his promises. He did promise us during his electioneering campaign that he is going to develop Rumuokwurusi community,” he recalled.
The royal father reiterated that the project will play a pivotal role in the rapid development of the area when completed, saying Governor Nyesom Wike has actually surpassed all expectations with the avalanche of infrastructural developments witnessed in the state and thanked the governor for initiating such a worthy legacy in Rumuokwurusi.
Eze Wokoma posited that with the achievements of Governor Wike, he deserves to climb to the apex of leadership of Nigeria.
He assured that the people of Rumuokwurusi will do all within their reach to cooperate with the contractors for the project to be delivered on record time and also for the sustainability of the project when completed.
His words: In Rumuokwurusi, we have an effective government of the people, being headed by me. We instill discipline in Rumuokwurusi, for the sustainability of this project, I assure the governor that we must cooperate with the construction company for the project to be delivered at the said time. We will ensure that the project is protected upon commission because it is for our own benefit. No one builds a house and destroys it, we are in partnership with the government for the protection of government properties.
