High Chief Emma Nwaobilor Hails Gov Wike’s  Development Strides In Etche

The Omezuru Oha I of Igbo Agwuru Asa Kingdom, High Chief Hon. Emma Nwaobilor says Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has surprised Etche people with development projects, stressing that the projects have uplifted the status of Etche in Rivers State and Nigeria at large.

High Chief Nwaobilor who made the commendation in a chat with our correspondent, marvelled at the speed with which the Governor was pursuing the construction of Etche Campus of the Rivers State University (RSU) which is sited in his Abara Community, saying the campus was nearing completion and would soon be ready.

The well respected High Chief whose philanthropy is well known on account of the empowerment he has given to Etche people, particularly his Abara people, stressed that the completion of the campus will bring massive development not only in Abara Community, but in Etche as a whole.

He told our correspondent that the people of Etche would treasure Governor Wike in their heart forever because of this particular project.

High Chief Emma who is being pressured by some youth groups to contest for the Rivers State House of Assembly and fill the slot of the Etche Constituency II in 2023, also eulogized the Rivers State Chief Executive Officer for the roads he has constructed in Etche, which he said have made movement of goods and people easy.

He named the roads as follows: Chokocho-Umuchem-Abara-Elele-Ozuzu Road, Chokocho-Igbo Road, Ulakwo-Afara-Nihi Road, Odufor Akpoku-Umuoyo Road and the on-going construction of Chokocho-Igbodo Road.

The philanthropist par excellence disclosed that the above mentioned roads were in dilapidated conditions before the governor graciously embarked on their reconstruction, saying now they had been completed, movement of goods, people and services have become smooth. He also stressed that the people had forgotten the pains they endured in the past as a result of the bad condition of the roads.

He prayed for the success of Wike’s administration and appealed to Nigerians to make him president inorder to replicate what he had done in Rivers at the National level.
