Rumuodara Youth Executive Inaugurated

The new officers elected on February 25, 2022 to take charge of affairs of the Rumuodara Youth Progressive Forum (RYPF) have been inaugurated.

They were sworn in last week Friday April 8 at the Palace of the Paramount Ruler of Rumuodara Community, HRH Eze John Enyindah Amadi.

The officers inaugurated are: Comrade Jephthah Wopara Chichezim – President, Jerry Ichebadu Chuku – Vice President, Hon. Amaewhule Obunezi Kenneth – General Secretary, Hon. Ikechukwu Samuel I. Onukem – PRO and Bestman Osinachi Chinwo – Provost I.

Others are; Wopara Azubuike Prince – Financial Secretary and Weli Chima – Treasurer.

Addressing the officers, after the swearing-in ceremony, the Paramount Ruler of Rumuodara Community, Eze John Enyindah Amadi urged them to work for peace and progress of Rumuodara, stressing that they should carry everybody including those who contested with them and lost along in their administration.

He advised them to work according to the Rivers State Government guideline which he handed to them during the inauguration stressing that Governor Wike will not tolerate unruly behaviour from any youth body.

Eze Amadi commended the Director from the Ministry Youth Development, Loveday Agbaru and the eleco chairman, Bro Murgen Chinwo for the good job they did.

Loveday Chibuzor Agbaru, Director Network and Social Mobilization, Ministry of Youth Development, Rivers State who was among government officials who supervised the election, warned that their new positions did not confer on them power to disrespect constituted authorities, especially the paramount ruler or divide the community, stressing that they should work for peace, development and progress of Rumuodara Community.

He also stressed the need for them to adhere to government guideline in carrying out their responsibilities. He commended Eze Amadi for his humble leadership style, saying His Highness left his palace several times to come to his office just to make sure that the election was conducted successfully. He urged the new executive to be loyal to him.

Responding, the Rumuodara Youth president, Comrade Jephthah Wopara Chichezim said he will work according to their directive and subject his administration to the Rivers State Government guideline which the Paramount Ruler, Eze Amadi handed over to them.

Earlier in a speech during his election, the youth president said he would work for peace and unity of Rumuodara Youths and Rumuodara at large. He also promised to empower the youths by training them in skills acquisition through support from companies operating in Rumuodara Community. He however advised Rumuodara youths to embrace education which he described as the key to success and good life.

The highpoint of the inauguration was the issuing of certificates of return to the elected officers.
