Eze Gbakagbaka Salutes S’Court Judgement In Favour Of Rivers

The Eze Oha Evo III, HRM, King Leslie N Eke (JP), Eze Gbakagbaka, has lauded the Supreme Court Judgement in favour of the Rivers State, adding that it was one in a million.

King Eke made this known in an interview with Newsmen in Port Harcourt during the week.

The Nyerisi Eli Woji, who expressed joy over the development, noted that the judgment has once again, proven that the court was the last hope of the common man.

According to him, if judgments were delivered in same manner as done by the apex Court in the instant case, those with criminal intentions will think otherwise.

He noted that judgment must not be bought or sold, but should be delivered on merit.

On the part of the Rivers State Government, he said it would not have possible if not for the doggedness and commitment of the Governor, Chief Nyesom  Wike.

“As a lawyer, he knows the implication of losing such a property. Besides, when you know that a thing rightfully belongs to you, you employ all known means to ensure that such property was redeemed”, Eke submitted.

The Monarch, who also is the General Secretary Association of Niger Delta Monarchs of Nigeria (ANDMON), called on Nigerians to learn how to comply with the spirits and letters of the rule of law.

He was of the view that the absence of such was the reason for numerous litigations in Nigerian.

The Evo apex King also called on the Supreme Court to see it as a matter of urgency and settle similar issues in other part of the Country in order to enthrone unity.

As a Christian, he said that the Sunday Thanksgiving by the Rivers State Government was in order, because God had directed his people to always be thankful in every situation.
