As Governor Wike’s developmental strides in the state continue to draw accolades and invoke applauses from numerous admirers, a university don, Prof. Simeon Emenike Weli, has joined the fans to laud Wike’s rising political profile.
Weli, a Professor of Educational Management at the Rivers State University, Oroworukwu, Port Harcourt, said Governor Wike’s experience in public service, politics and governance is the greatest instrument the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, needs to take over power at the centre in 2023.
He contended that Gov Wike remained a force to be reckoned with, not only in Rivers State and the South-South region but also the country in general.
Prof. Weli noted that this is one fact the PDP stakeholders must recognize as they strategize for 2023 general elections.
“In fact, I make bold to say that Wike is a result-oriented politician who has not failed to deliver on the mandate given to him by the good people of Rivers State. He is a grassroots politician with innumerable number of followers.
“Moreso, Wike is intrinsically motivated to govern, having been ordained by God as a good leader, and I can assure you that his accomplishments in the State over the years as governor of Rivers State are very visible and speak volumes about him”, Prof. Weli enthused.
The erudite scholar who is known for being outspoken at all times also called on all PDP faithful in the State to do well by ensuring that they go out and register, and obtain their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) so that they will not be denied the chance to vote for candidates of their choice come 2023 general elections.
