The immediate past Chairman of people’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Bro Felix Amaechi Obuah, paid a thank you visit on Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland, His Eminence, Oba Nwachuku Obuoha Nnam-Obi III at his palace, being his first appearance at the palace after the just concluded PDP Guber primary election in Rivers State.
Receiving his guest, the Eze Ogba welcomed him home safely after his aspiration to govern Rivers State and commended him for the maturity he exhibited as party man after the Rivers State PDPGuber Primary election, noting that his acceptance of the outcome of the exercise in good faith is commendable as according to him “power belongs to God”.
He told the Mbanabragu not to lose hope as his future is bright and praised him for making the people of the area proud politically and urged him to continue as “God’s Time is the best”.
Oba Nwachuku Nnam Obi III used the forum to commend two illustrious sons of Rivers State, His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS(A) and His Excellency Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, CON for their performances at the last presidential primary elections of their parties saying that for indicating their interests and their performances at the exercise made the people of Rivers State proud even though they were betrayed at the election venue.
Earlier, Bro Felix Obuah had told the Ogba Monarch that he and his Team were in the Palace to thank him (The Oba), members of his Council and indeed the entire people of Ogba Ethic Nationality both at home and in dispora for their prayers, supports and good will messages during and after the Rivers State 2022 PDP Governorship Primary elections.
According to him, before he embarked on the Guber journey, he came to the Oba Eze Ogba for his Royal blessings, now that the election is over though not favorable,he is back here (Palace) to officially brief him and to tell him and the entire people of Rivers State particularly his supporters and admirers not to be demoralized over the outcome of the 2022 Rivers State PDP Primary election as “God knowns the best, and that tomorrow will be better than today”.
He said he was overwhelmed by the support, prayers and solidarity he got from Ogba people irrespective of their political affiliations and promised that his love for the people will increase tremendously and will spur him to do more of his philanthropist.
According to a press statement issuedby the media officer, Oba’s Palace, Omoku, Prince Charles Amadike-Otoboh, JP, (Mmbohkrikri) Go-Round was accompanied to the Palace by thousands of persons from different parts of Nigeria including former ministers, former,aspiring and serving National Assembly Members, former, and serving Local Government Chairmen, former, serving and aspiring House of Assembly Members, former Commissioners, former Guber Aspirants, Party Chieftains, Clergy men and women, member of Go-Round Community, members of Otu Ozimini Age Grade of Ogba Kingdom (World Wide), Youths and women bodies among others.
Highlight of the visit was Royal reception forthe Ikemba Idimili and his entourage by the Ogba (Eze- Ogba) of Ogbaland, His Eminence, Ogba Nwachuku Obuoha Nnam-Obi III and his Cabinent.
Recalled before the last Primary elections, the Oba Eze Ogba hosted leaders of all registered political parties existing in ONELGA where he admonished them to organize their party primaries peacefully.
