Ogoni Monarch Reiterates Commitment To Peace, Development Of Community
Paramount Ruler of Bua-Boue kingdom in Khana local government area of Rivers State, His Royal Highness, Mene Dr. Tarlor Tornwe has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring peace, unity and development of the kingdom.
The Mene Bua-Boue kingdom made the commitment while addressing Journalists to commemorate his birthday on Sunday, August 14, 2022 in Port Harcourt.
The monarch who used the medium to narrate his ordeal in the police custody following his arrest after he was accused of allegedly abetting cultism in the area.
Dr. Tornwe said he is innocent of all the accusations against him, explaining that it was the handiwork of his detractors who is not happy with his fight against cultism and criminalities in the area.
According to him, “I thank God that am alive to witness another birthday despite the travails from my detractors. I pray for good health of more reign of peaceful reign.
“I am a man that has always stood for the truth, I have never been involved nor supported cultism or any form of crime, I am innocent of the accusations and I know very soon the truth of this whole matter will be unveiled.
“Before now, I have set up several peace committees in Boue, I signed the peace accords but these detractors who see themselves as opponents refused to sign and that is the reason why we are still having these challenges till date in my kingdom.
“But nevertheless, I still remain committed to ensuring a sustainable peace, unity and development of Boue kingdom. We have already started the peace moves before the court case, committees have been inaugurated in collaboration with the Khana council Boss, Dr. Thomas Bariere and my council, and I know we can still achieve that goal.”
He however called on the people to remain calm and law abiding “as the whole matter will soon come to an end”.
