Fubara Commends GDI, Rivers People On Successful Sensitisation
Rivers State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sir Siminalayi Fubara has commended the leadership of the Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI) for anchoring a successful sensitisation exercise for the citizens registration and collection of permanent voters cards across the 23 local government areas of the state which climaxed in Opobo/Nkoro local government area.
Sir Fubara noted with a sense of satisfaction the way and manner GDI conducted its activities which led to improved voters awareness resulting in increased PVC registration at the last exercise and placing Rivers State at a more vintage position politically in national affairs.
He said by the new voters statistics released by INEC the votes of Rivers people will continue to be a major determining factor in the political equation of the country, and applauded the people for their massive turn out for the exercise assuring that there is greater hope for the future.
The standard bearer described the sensitisation as one way the political pressure group adopted to sustain their connection with the people and enjoined them to remain steadfast with their support.
He congratulated all the local government areas for their support all through the awareness exercise, adding that their effort is a prelude to greater accomplishments and consolidation of good governance in the state.
