Chidi Lloyd Meets With Family Of Michael Chinda For Total Reconciliation

A former Majority Leader of Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Chidi Lloyd, has met with the family of Hon Michael Chinda for total reconciliation over what happened at the State House of Assembly.

Hon Lloyd assaulted the lawmaker representing Obio/Akpor Constituency Two, Hon Michael Chinda, over political differences in 2013 at the State House of Assembly Complex.

The former leader who was in company of his wife, Mrs Adanma Chidi Lloyd, and father-in-law, Chief Omereji, had met with the family of Hon Michael Chinda in Ozuoba Town for the reconciliation.

Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Hon Aaron Chukuemeka, JP, and the President of Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers and principal partner, Emma Wike & Partners, Chief ESV Emma Okas Wike, who spoke on behalf of Hon Lloyd had pleaded with the family of Hon Michael Chinda to forgive him for the unfortunate event that took place in the Assembly Complex on July 9, 2013.

They had also made presentations of drinks and cow and had asked for forgiveness.

Responding, the father of Hon Chinda, Chief John Chinda, had commended Hon Lloyd for seeking reconciliation and had accepted the items on behalf of the family  and assented to their plea and also thanked God they were alive to witness the reconciliation.

The leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Obio/Akpor Constituency Two, Elder Lawrence Amadioha, JP, who also spoke had thanked God and commended the Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike, for the role he had played at the time flying Hon Chinda to the UK for treatment. He traditionally opened his hands signalling peace towards Hon Lloyd and his wife.

HRM Amb. Dr. Samuel Ejims Wopara, first cousin of Hon Michael Chinda, validated the stand of the family to allow peace to reign and Rev. Canon Chukwujekwu Okoli had also said that Hon Lloyd had taken the right step seeking reconciliation and had urged the Chinda family to genuinely open their hearts to peace and forgiveness.

The high point of the occasion was the acceptance of the peace move amid happiness and ovation.

Those at the reconciliation include Hon Aaron Chukuemeka, the state treasurer of the PDP, Hon Mrs Blessing Amadi, Elder Lawrence Amadioha, the Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon Tom Aliezi, Chief ESV Emma Okas Wike and the President of PDP National Ex-Councillors Forum and Chairmann of Rumuepirikom Town Council, Prince Weliwosu.

Others include Hon Francis Amadi, Chief Dr. Anugbum Onuoha and HRH Eze Amaewhule Barry Opara-Owabie, JP, the Nye-nwe-eli of Rumuepirikom and others.
