Group Unveils ‘Nkoro For Sim/Odu’, Queues Behind PDP Candidates

A socio-political group, Nkoro For Sim and Odu, has been inaugurated in Opobo Nkoro Local Government Area, tasked with the mandate of working for the victory of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Amaopu Senibo Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Professor Ngozi Odu in next month’s general elections in the state.

In a press release issued after the inauguration, Coordinator of the group, Brother Obadiah Arthur Idaminabo, charged the people of Nkoro to ensure they get their PVCs which guarantees their power to vote.

Stating that their support for all PDP candidates in the Rivers South East Senatorial Zone is total, Idaminabo said the group came into being having forayed the political space in the zone and found the PDP candidates as those with proven capacity to being progress and development not only to Nkoro people but to the zone at large.

His words: “Amaopu Senibo Siminalayi Fubara has proven himself as large-hearted, patient and kind individual who has shown that he can reach out to all and sundry and help human capital development as well as philanthropy. That is why we shall fully and totally support, mobilize and work for the governorship ambition of Amaopusenibo Siminialayi Fubara and his Deputy Prof Ngozi Odu, he declared, adding “We will also work to deliver Senator Barinada Mpigi, who is the Senatorial candidate of the Rivers South East Senatorial Zone ; Hon (Dr) Awaji-Inombek Dagomie Abiante,  candidate for Andoni Opobo/Nkoro Federal Constituency as well as Hon. Adolphus Orubienimigha, the candidate for the Opobo/Nkoro constituency in the Rivers State House Of Assembly”.

Reiterating that Nkoro is an ancient Kingdom in the Opobo/Nkoro LGA of Rivers State, the group’s Coordinator asserted that the people have resolved to give their support to all these candidates and ensure their successes at the polls.

“We have already begun a house to house campaign to sensitize our people, to support the PDP and all its candidates across board to achieve successful results at the polls”, he said..
